Job Details:

• Night shift position in Medical Surgical Telemetry unit
\n• Care for patients from emergency department that meet admission criteria
\n• Patient ratio of 5-6 patients per nurse
\n• Daily census of 40 patients in 40-bed unit
\n• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
\n• Every other weekend (EOW) coverage required
\n• Self-scheduling system
\n• Candidates will float within hospital, within scope of practice
\n• 24-hour orientation provided
\n• Up to 8 hours of non-billable virtual modules completed on first day and annually
\n• Two pre-approved time off periods allowed
\n• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS, Prophecy Relias Basic EKG, 4-hour annual stroke CEUs
\n• Preferred certifications: ACLS
\n• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
\n• Previous charge experience preferred
\n• Cerner charting system experience preferred
\n• Must be skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, telemetry, and basic EKG
\n• Valid Maryland or Compact nursing license required at time of submission
\n• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
\n• References and certification copies required for submission

The facility provides robust support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services. The organization maintains high standards for patient care and offers comprehensive orientation and ongoing education to ensure quality outcomes.
