Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Prepare federal and state tax returns for partnerships, corporations, S-corporations, trusts, nonprofits (990s), and individuals
- Prepare payroll and sales tax returns
- Participate as part of a multi-disciplinary tax team providing industry-specific knowledge
- Deliver timely, high-quality client services and maintain strong client relationships
- Assist in tax planning, quarterly estimates, and maintaining engagement files and work papers
- Conduct research on complex tax issues and provide alternative solutions
- Support practice development through networking, community involvement, and industry activities
Qualifications Needed
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• Minimum 3 years of public accounting tax experience, including flow-through entity and individual returns
• CPA license preferred (or CPA candidate encouraged)
• Strong background in tax compliance, planning, and research
• Experience with CCH Axcess and RIA Checkpoint preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex issues to clients
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
