Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A special education teaching opportunity is available for a certified educator to support K-12 students with disabilities in a New Hampshire school district. This is a contract position running from January 5, 2025, to approximately June 12, 2026, offering up to 37.5 hours per week in a virtual case manager role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) using the NHSEIS data system.
- Collaborate virtually with teachers, parents, and service providers via platforms such as Canvas and Zoom.
- Utilize behavior-tracking and data tools like Panorama to monitor student progress.
- Ensure compliance with IDEA, NH special education laws, and procedures related to virtual service delivery.
- Assess and support students with behavioral and affective disorders, delivering positive behavioral interventions individually and in groups.
- Conduct observations and prepare detailed reports on student learning behaviors.
- Work cooperatively with administrators, colleagues, central office staff, students, parents, and community resources.
Qualifications:
- Must meet all New Hampshire state certification requirements for special education.
- Prior experience as a New Hampshire virtual case manager in special education is required.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state special education regulations and virtual instructional best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to apply knowledge of individual differences in ability, personality, and motivation tailored to special education needs.
Location:This role supports students in the Claremont area of New Hampshire as part of a K-12 school district.
