THE ROLE:
This is not your typical sales joband its not just a technician role either.As a Rescue Solutions Specialist, youll be the go-to expert for Fire Equipment and Hurst rescue tools in your territory. Youll work directly with fire departmentsmaintaining their equipment, training their teams, and helping them make informed purchasing decisions.
Youll build relationships in the firehouse, on the training ground, and in the fieldearning trust through both technical expertise and real-world credibility.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Service & Technical Support
Perform annual service, testing, and repairs on hydraulic and battery-powered rescue tools
Troubleshoot equipment issues on-site and provide timely solutions
Ensure all tools meet safety and performance standards
Maintain detailed service documentation and reports
Training & Customer Partnership
Conduct hands-on tool demonstrations and training drills
Support departments with product knowledge, application, and best practices
Act as a trusted resource to chiefs, officers, and purchasing decision-makers
Sales & Territory Development
Grow Hurst product sales within your assigned territory
Identify opportunities through existing relationships and new outreach
Manage the full sales cycle: demo evaluation quote close
Partner with Firematics apparatus and equipment teams on bundled opportunities
Represent Firematic at trade shows, department events, and industry functions
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
Mechanical or technical background (equipment service, automotive, diesel, or similar)
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust with first responders
Self-starter who thrives in a field-based, relationship-driven role
Ability to communicate technical concepts in a clear, practical way
Valid drivers license and willingness to travel locally
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Firefighter, EMT, or experience working with fire departments
Background in rescue tools, hydraulics, or emergency equipment
Prior sales or customer-facing experience
