Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant

Inpatient Diabetes & Glycemic Management (Non-ICU)

Hospital-Based | Schenectady, NY | Block Schedule

GlyCare is a hospital-based group practice specializing in inpatient diabetes and glycemic management. Our Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants deliver protocol-driven, evidence-based care to hospitalized adults on Med-Surg and Step-Down units (non-ICU), with endocrinology support.

What You’ll Do

• Provide consultative inpatient diabetes/glycemic management (non-ICU)
• Independently round using established protocols
• Manage ~25 patients/day (higher census up to 28–35)
• Participate in rotating phone-only after-hours call

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NY Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license (FNP, AGNP, ACNP, or PA-C)
• Board certified
• Inpatient experience (or inpatient RN background)
• EMR proficiency
• New grads welcome | DEA not required
• Minimum 1-year contract commitment
