Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced Mailroom Clerk to oversee and support the day-to-day operations of a fast-paced, high-volume corporate mailroom. This critical role ensures the accurate handling, sorting, distribution, and preparation of both internal and external correspondence and print materials. The ideal candidate is physically capable, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks in a time-sensitive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle all incoming and outgoing mail and packages via USPS, FedEx, UPS, and other carriers.
- Sort, distribute, and deliver interoffice mail across departments.
- Operate various mailroom and print production equipment, including:
- Laptop and iPad
- Pallet Jack
- Ancillary printing machines
- Complete and manage high-volume print jobs as assigned.
- Lift and transport packages weighing up to 75 lbs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of mailroom and related areas.
- Track and document deliveries and print job completion using internal systems.
- Ensure timely delivery and pickup schedules.
- Provide excellent internal customer service and resolve mail delivery issues when they arise.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working in a corporate mailroom or office services environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 4 hours).
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs safely and comfortably.
- Comfortable using basic tech tools (laptop, iPad) and mechanical equipment (pallet jack, printers).
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Punctual, professional, and dependable.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in mail distribution, facilities, or office services support.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving software or internal tracking systems.
- Team-oriented with a strong work ethic and commitment to efficiency.
