Position Summary:
Adecco Staffing is hiring a skilled and motivated Chef to lead culinary operations at a remote mining camp. This role is ideal for a culinary professional who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality meals. The Chef will oversee food preparation, menu development, kitchen staff, and ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve fresh, seasonal, and safe meals for camp personnel
  • Develop and adapt menus based on guest preferences and market trends
  • Maintain high standards in food quality, presentation, and service
  • Manage food inventory, costs, and budgets efficiently
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure consistent performance
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including HACCP
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and maintain a positive work environment
  • Support operational goals through culinary expertise and leadership

Qualifications:

  • OSHA 10 Certification (Required)
  • Manager’s Food Handler Certification (Required)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and food ordering systems
  • Experience with budgeting, menu costing, and inventory control
  • Ability to work independently and manage a team in a remote setting
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written)

Additional Skills:

  • Knowledge of food safety standards and documentation (WHMIS, PPE, HACCP)
  • Ability to create recipes, training materials, and themed menus
  • Skilled in conflict resolution and team development

Pay Details: $30.50 per hour
