Job DescriptionMedical Temporaries, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced ***Patient Access Tech***.
- Minimum of 1+ years of experience required.
This is a FULL TIME/TEMP TO HIRE position requiring availability between the hours of 7:45AM - 5:00PM, Monday through Thursday, located in Virginia Beach, VA.
Responsibilities:A Day in the life of a Patient Access Tech:
As a Patient Access Technician you will be responsible for covering the front desk. Duties include greeting the patient with excellent customer service skills, collecting and verifying demographic and insurance information and scheduling appointments. Must be able to work as a team working well with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies. Must be detailed oriented ensuring that all necessary documentation is accurate and complete for billing and medical record purposes.
Requirements for the Patient Access Technician:
- Required: 1+ year of experience in a medical front desk position or similar position
- Required: Schedule appointments efficiently with minimal errors
- Required: Verify insurance accurately and enter data accurately into the EMR system
- Required: Supporting the billing department
- Required: Ability to pass Background Check and Drug Screen
- Required: Must be reliable and a quick learner and have ability to multi-task with accuracy in a very busy environment
- Required: Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Required: Valid driver's license, a good driving record, and willingness to utilize your own vehicle as needed in connection with employment.
Preferred Qualifications for the Patient Access Technician:
- Preferred: Ability to adapt to a fast-paced office environment
- Preferred: Must have excellent customer service skills and communication skills
