A unique opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room to support general surgery procedures including Urology, Gynecology, and Orthopedics within a dynamic surgical team. This travel assignment offers the chance to apply your expertise utilizing advanced surgical equipment such as the DaVinci Xi robotic system, Hana Table, Arthrex tower, and Beach Chair positioning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide circulating RN support during general surgery cases, including robotic-assisted procedures.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure smooth perioperative patient care.
- Adhere to hospital policies, including the wearing of designated black scrubs.
- Participate in rotating weekend on-call duties approximately every 6-7 days, with scheduled late shifts as needed.
- Maintain compliance with required certifications and facility standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current RN licensure.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in circulating nursing for general surgery, with proficiency in Urology, Gynecology, and Orthopedic procedures.
- Experience with DaVinci Xi robot, Hana Table, Arthrex tower, and Beach Chair positioning strongly preferred.
- BLS certification (AHA) required.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
- Flexibility to assist with various surgical case types as necessary.
Schedule & Location:
- Day shift schedule: 4x10 hour shifts per week (36 guaranteed hours).
- Limited Fridays or Mondays off, per a 6-week rotating schedule.
- Location: Cape Girardeau, Missouri, a vibrant riverfront city blending rich history with modern conveniences, offering scenic views, cultural events, and Southern hospitality.
