Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in Chesapeake, VA, supporting a diverse K-12 caseload across multiple school locations, including a high school and elementary school. This contract role begins ASAP and continues through the end of the school year, with summer extended service year (ESY) responsibilities. There is potential for renewal for the 2025-2026 school year.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students K-12 in both group and individual settings
- Collaborate with educators and families to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments and monitor student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Participate in professional development and team meetings as required
Qualifications:
- Current active Speech-Language Pathologist license in Virginia (SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, or School SLP certification)
- Experience working with K-12 student populations preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and staff
- Will consider Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) with relevant experience
- Ability to manage a full caseload and maintain compliance with school guidelines
Position Details:
