This position will be at a Washington, IN job site.
Job Summary
As a Superintendent, you will play a crucial role in managing field operations for exciting projects, ensuring they meet budget, schedule, safety, and quality standards. You'll direct employees, manage resources, and foster strong client relationships while working independently to achieve specific objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Daily Operations: Oversee day-to-day activities on-site, ensuring quality and safety compliance.
- Supervise Staff: Manage construction personnel and subcontractors, guaranteeing adherence to design specifications and industry standards.
- Coordinate Projects: Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to establish timelines and provide progress updates.
- Conduct Inspections: Regularly inspect the site, addressing any issues promptly.
- Prioritize Safety: Promote a culture of safety, ensuring all protocols are followed.
- Manage Budgets: Track expenses and ensure efficient use of materials and labor.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate project records, including daily reports and change orders.
- Collaborate with Agencies: Work with local agencies to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
- Mentorship: Provide leadership and guidance to junior staff, fostering a collaborative environment.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 9 years in field construction roles, with at least 4 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction processes and problem-solving skills.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with PM software (Procore preferred) and Microsoft Suite.
