Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract position is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support K-12 students in a school setting located in Norfolk, VA. This role offers an opportunity to provide direct therapeutic services and assessments throughout the academic year.
The position requires 37.5 hours per week across elementary, middle, and high school environments during the 2025/2026 school year. Responsibilities include overseeing comprehensive assessments and evaluations, delivering direct speech therapy, and participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to support students communication needs.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP - CCC, SLP - CFY, or SLP - School)
- Experience working within K-12 educational settings preferred
- Ability to conduct evaluations, design and implement therapy plans, and collaborate with education teams
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
