The position is a part-time Job Coach. You would pick up and transport adults to community areas, such as the library, a park, an exercise facility, or a class, using your own vehicle. During this time with them, you are the supervisor and advocate.
We are looking for individuals who can work a Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 2 pm shift. You would drive from San Bernardino. Mileage is paid during working hours.
The skills and qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to:
1. Desire to help Adults who are learning challenged with encouragement, respect, and overall engagement with them on a one-to-one basis. On-the-job training on the duties will be provided.
2. Great communication skills to understand the limitations of certain individuals and creative ways to work with them.
3. Previous experience working or interacting with adults with learning challenges, which could be a family member experience as well.
Must have a valid California driver's license in good standing. Rideshare- endorsed coverage on your insurance. Able to conduct a clear criminal background and drug screen in accordance with California Employment Law.
Must be over 21 yrs old and able to get a CPR/First Aid Cert, TB clearance.
