Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $85,000–$100,000 annually (based on experience)

Our Tualatin, OR branch is seeking a motivated and experienced Service Department Manager to lead and grow our service operations across the Greater Portland area. This is a key leadership position with direct impact on operational performance, customer satisfaction, and profitability.


Position Summary

The Service Department Manager oversees all day-to-day operations of the service department, including scheduling, dispatch, technician leadership, customer communication, and financial performance. This role requires a strong leader who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and customer service.

The ideal candidate brings experience in roofing or construction services, excels at leading teams, and is passionate about delivering exceptional service and results.


Key ResponsibilitiesService Operations & Leadership

  • Manage daily service department operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety.

  • Oversee scheduling, dispatching, and coordination of service technicians and jobs.

  • Lead, coach, and develop service technicians to drive performance and professional growth.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and industry best practices.

Customer Communication & Coordination

  • Act as a primary point of contact for customers regarding service requests, estimates, and updates.

  • Maintain proactive, professional communication to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

  • Address service-related issues and resolve concerns promptly and effectively.

Operational & Financial Performance

  • Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to maintain efficient job flow.

  • Track service department budgets, performance metrics, and profitability.

  • Review service reports, scopes of work, and job documentation for accuracy.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to improve efficiency and margins.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience in roofing, construction, estimating, or a related service-based industry.

  • Proven leadership and team management experience.

  • Strong communication, organization, and customer-service skills.

  • Ability to read and interpret roofing reports, scopes of work, and service documentation.

  • Proficiency with scheduling software, CRM systems, and standard office tools.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and sound decision-making ability.
