Job Summary:
The Supplier Quality Control Inspector is responsible to manage the SQC activities, resources and competencies, and to guarantee harmonization across the overall organization. The main mission of the Supplier Quality Control Inspector is to ensure conformity of purchased equipment with its purchase order and associated rules, codes and specifications, while managing risk to ensure that suppliers reliably provide goods or services which satisfy s Quality expectations as well as its customer's needs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Is accountable for the execution of SQC activities on projects.
Ensures the establishment & management of SQC strategy: Project Expediting & Inspection Plan (PEIP) document timely management, SQC manhours & costs evaluation and estimating, Support during proposal/PEIP/PIM (Preliminary Inspection Meeting).
Performance of Inspection based on approved strategy including CTQ parameters
Guarantees the conformity of equipment purchased.
Acts as the primary contact for US inspection assignments on behalf of all E&C centers globally
Coordinates and leads the SQC activities by collaborating with third party agencies and peers in E&C Centers.
Supports projects with manufacturing, control and certification issues.
Participates in the improvement of processes, standards and capitalization
Coordinates with inspection resources (agencies, internal resources, etc.)
Other tasks as assigned
Travel expectations: Domestic and International travel roughly 30-40% of the time, or based on project needs, and may include short notice.
Education & Experience:
Education: Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
Discipline/Experience: Industrial gas industry; Mechanics; Boiler making - 5 years
Experience:
Quality Control 10 years minimum
Manufacturing 5 years
Project execution - 5 years minimum
Preferred Certifications: API 510, 570 and 653, and AWS CWI.
Areas of knowledge:
Extensive knowledge in US Construction Codes i.e. ASME API, AWS, AISC, IBC, etc.
Fabrication process - Proficient
Non-Destructive Examination - Proficient
Materials & welding- Proficient
Industrial Gas equipments - Proficient
US Statutory and Regulatory rules - Practicing
Language: English - Fluent
IT & Tools:
Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Google Drive, etc.) - Mastering
Tools (SAP, SRM tool, Non-Conformities Management) - Practicing
