A Radiation Therapist opportunity is available at an outpatient cancer clinic specializing in comprehensive radiation therapy treatments. This role is ideal for experienced radiation therapists seeking a contract position in a dynamic healthcare environment focused on patient-centered care for ambulatory cancer patients.
LocationSituated in the Concord, NC area, this clinic serves a diverse patient population, treating between 60 to 100 patients daily across three treatment machines. Qualifications / Desired Experience
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Radiation Therapist
- Certified Radiotherapy Technologist (ARRT-T) and current BLS certification required
- Proficient in the use of Varian Truebeam Linear Accelerators
- Experience working with a variety of cancer diagnoses
- EMR experience preferred, specifically with EPIC and Aria systems
- Ability to receive managerial approval for equipment proficiency and potential floating assignments within the greater Charlotte area
Responsibilities / Duties
- Deliver radiation therapy to outpatient ambulatory cancer patients utilizing Varian Truebeam Linear Accelerators
- Collaborate with a department averaging 12 therapists per shift to ensure exceptional patient care
- Maintain accurate patient records within EMR systems (EPIC/Aria)
- Potentially provide coverage at other radiation therapy sites as approved by management
- Participate in departmental orientation and ongoing training to maintain clinical competencies
