Job Description
Sr. Mechanical Engineer – Oro Valley, AZ (1st shift)
Mechanical engineering role focused on aerospace electronic component design and packaging.
Key Skills:
- Advanced Mechanical Engineering experience (8+ years)
- SolidWorks (3D CAD) and 2D drafting
- FEA (preferably ANSYS) – structural & thermal analysis
- Aerospace standards knowledge (DO-160, DO-178, DO-254, ARP) – plus
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills
- Able to manage multiple priorities and work independently
Responsibilities:
- Design electronic packaging for aerospace hardware
- Create CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and assembly docs
- Perform weight analysis, prototyping, and testing
- Conduct FEA and technical reporting
- Lead design reviews, risk analysis (DFMEA/PFMEA)
- Support engineering change orders and process improvements
- Mentor junior engineers and support site engineering strategy
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- 8+ years relevant experience
- Strong CAD, FEA, and mechanical design background
- Available for flexible shifts, overtime as needed
