Elite Group Staffing and Headhunting Firm is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk for a client located in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk reports to the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor and is responsible for executing day-to-day inbound and outbound material handling activities within a GMP-regulated hemp laboratory environment subject to FDA, DEA (as applicable), and state hemp program oversight. This role ensures that raw materials, consumables, samples, intermediates, and finished goods are received, inspected, labeled, stored, staged, and shipped accurately and in full compliance with GMP, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
Receiving Activities
- Receive inbound materials per SOPs and GMP requirements
- Verify shipments against documentation
- Inspect materials for damage or discrepancies
- Apply labels and material status
- Enter data into inventory systems
Shipping Activities
- Prepare outbound shipments in compliance with GMP
- Ensure correct packaging, labeling, and documentation
- Maintain chain-of-custody and COA documentation
General / Compliance
- Maintain inventory accuracy and traceability
- Follow ALCOA documentation principles
- Maintain clean, secure work areas
- Support audits and inspections
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 25 kg (55 lbs) and perform repetitive tasks
Qualifications / Skills
- Must have Receiving experience, preferred in food, chemicals, or flowers
- Must be fluent in written and spoken English
- Warehouse management software experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
- QuickBooks experience
- GMP shipping/receiving experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail
Schedule & Benefits
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. (Shifts may vary; some days may end at 3 p.m., 5 p.m., or 8 p.m., candidate must be fully available during this window)
