The Distribution Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations of warehouse and distribution activities supporting automotive repair and tire service locations. This role ensures accurate and timely distribution of tires, parts, and shop supplies, manages inventory control processes, and leads a team of warehouse associates and drivers to meet productivity, safety, and service standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily warehouse and distribution operations, including order fulfillment, shipping, receiving, and inventory accuracy.
- Schedule and coordinate deliveries to multiple store locations to support service demands.
- Ensure timely and accurate picking, packing, and shipping of tires, parts, and supplies.
- Manage and lead warehouse staff and drivers, including training, performance feedback, and enforcing company policies and procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels and cycle counts; assist with physical inventory and reconciliation.
- Maintain safety standards in accordance with OSHA guidelines and company policy.
- Collaborate with store managers, purchasing, and logistics teams to resolve delivery or inventory issues.
- Track and report key operational metrics (KPIs) including delivery performance, inventory accuracy, and order turnaround time.
- Oversee proper use and maintenance of material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and delivery vehicles.
- Support process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and service levels.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in a warehouse/distribution supervisory role, ideally in the tire, automotive, or retail parts industry.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory systems, and distribution logistics.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and warehouse management software.
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record; CDL preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift 75+ lbs, with frequent lifting, stooping, bending, and physical activity throughout the shift.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Work Environment:
- Warehouse environment with regular exposure to tire racks, shop equipment, and delivery trucks.
- Frequent travel between multiple store locations is required.
- This is a physically demanding job that requires endurance, strength, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The person in this position must consistently meet the physical demands required to safely and effectively perform the duties of the role.
