The Manufacturing Operator II is responsible for supporting both shipping and manufacturing processes in a regulated environment. This role involves picking and packing orders (including temperature-sensitive shipments), staging materials for production, maintaining accurate inventory, and assisting with equipment upkeep under GMP and ISO standards. The position requires balancing shipping duties with manufacturing support, ensuring compliance with quality systems, and using systems like SAP and MRP for order management. Responsibilities
- Efficiently pick items from inventory shelves based on order specifications.
- Safely pack and label items for shipment, including frozen perishable items.
- Collaborate with the shipping clerk on packing slips and daily shipping needs.
- Support manufacturing processes by staging media and materials for operators.
- Operate tow motors, forklifts, and tuggers to transport materials.
- Maintain and set up equipment (dispensing tanks, replacing gaskets/tubing, calibrations).
- Follow GMP, FDA, and ISO 13485 documentation and quality systems.
- Use SAP and MRP systems to view, pick, and process orders.
- Maintain accurate inventory and order fulfillment processes.
- Split time between shipping (50%) and manufacturing (50%).
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Additional certifications (forklift, GMP, ISO, etc.) are a plus.
- Minimum 1+ years’ experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Experience in a regulated environment (pharmaceutical, food, or related).
- Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
- Ability to manage shipping and receiving, including temperature-sensitive orders.
- Proficiency with basic computer tasks (emails, SOPs, online training).
- Experience working with MRP systems for order management.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
Desired / Preferred Skills
- Experience operating tow motors, forklifts, or tuggers.
- Prior order picking and packing experience.
- Familiarity with SAP system or willingness to learn.
- Knowledge of ISO 13485 regulations and controlled environment processes.
