5th Avenue Furniture is a family owned and operated business expanding into a new location in Southfield Michigan. Our goal is to provide a smooth, efficient, and friendly buying process for our customers. We are looking for sales associates to provide a genuine and organic experience for the everyday customer. Enthusiasm and Integrity are required to be successful in this position.
Qualifications
- Highschool Diploma/GED
- Reliable Transportation
- 2 years of Sales Experience Wanted - Not Required
- Willingness to learn
- Point of Sales System Experience/Baseline Computer skills
- Critical Thinking

- Two Week Training Period on all Product Knowledge
- 60 Day Probationary period at $17/Hour. Commission after 60 day probationary period.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs.
- Communicate product knowledge to customers to enhance their shopping experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales area to create an inviting atmosphere.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly with professionalism
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills for effective customer interaction.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed
- Build value of product to a variety of customers
- Follow up phone call & emails to maximize sales performance
- Carry out monthly goals and expectations
Minimum Requirements

- Exceptional Customer Service insight with the ability to apply situationally
- Computer proficiency
- Ability to work a full retail schedule including weekdays and weekends
- You must be willing to learn from other members on your team

Physical Demands
- On your feet for extended periods of time
- Must be capable of lifting and moving furniture with a limitation of 50lbs
