Step into a rewarding school-based setting as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist. This part-time opportunity is perfect for an experienced professional who enjoys working with students from Pre-K through 8th grade and values a focused caseload in a collaborative educational environment.
In this role, you’ll deliver targeted resource therapy services to a diverse group of students and will be the sole SLP on-site, allowing you to take ownership of the therapy program and make a lasting impact. This contract begins as soon as possible and runs through June 1, 2027, with a consistent schedule of 14 hours per week (two days per week, seven hours each day).
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Florida SLP licensure (CCC required)
- School-based SLP experience preferred
- Proven ability to work independently and manage a school-based caseload
- Comfortable as the only SLP on-site
- Completion of district fingerprinting requirements (prior ACHA prints may be eligible for transfer)
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
What You’ll Do:
- Provide direct therapy to PK-8th grade students in a resource setting
- Conduct assessments, facilitate IEP meetings, and write comprehensive reports
- Develop individualized goals and collaborate with faculty, staff, and families
- Maintain all required compliance documentation
- Offer guidance on speech and language development to school personnel
