What You’ll Do…
As the Senior Staff & Faculty Training Instructor/Advisor you will support our company's contract with the Army by providing expert-level knowledge to non-expert learners that results in the qualification of Soldiers, civilians, and contractors. You will be involved in managing and delivering training programs in a specialized, technical, procedural, or operational area. You will facilitate knowledge transfer through systematic instruction that aligns with adult learning principles and performance-based objectives, ensuring operational proficiency and safety by enabling learners to meet established standards through hands-on experience, simulation, and testing. This position requires a blend of creativity, critical thinking, subject-matter expertise, and a strong understanding of military training strategies and methodologies.
Key Responsibilities & Expected Outcomes
- Provide classroom instruction support through instructional strategies such as direct and indirect instruction, independent study, collaborative/interactive instruction, and experiential learning. Ensures that all training objectives and learning outcomes are met.
- Maintain a classroom prepared for instruction, ensuring the classroom and all materials are available in advance of scheduled instruction. Ensure all electrical and electronic devices are operational. Maintains the cleanliness of the classroom environment.
- Conduct student assessments to assess learner performance through tests, practical exercises, and actionable feedback instruments. Implement both formative and summative assessments of students. Conduct After Action Reviews (AARs) with students. Provides constructive and actionable written feedback in a clear, accurate and complete manner to learners and maintains accurate training records.
- Develop and update instructional materials such as lesson plans, job aids, training aids, read-ahead materials, and rubrics. Conducts formative and summative evaluations of instructional materials to ensure their effectiveness.
- Participate in the development of multimedia instructional products, including audio and video vignettes, to enhance classroom instruction and training.
- Provide safety supervision by ensuring all training is conducted in accordance with applicable safety protocols. Takes preventive actions in technical or hazardous training environments to mitigate risks.

- Deep understanding of adult learning principles, Army Learning Concepts, and TRADOC instructional policies.
- Proficiency in applying instructional systems design models (e.g., ADDIE) to develop performance-based learning solutions.
- Skilled in delivering engaging, effective instruction in both in-person and virtual environments.
- Strong ability to develop, administer, and analyze formative and summative assessments to measure learner performance.
- Experienced in creating and updating training materials and multimedia content.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat DC, and learning management systems relevant to federal or military training.
- Capable of conveying complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in secondary education or related field.
- Active Secret clearance.
- Minimum of 6 years' experience, which includes teaching adults in a variety of student-centric and teacher-centric learning environments, including teaching military personnel in training and/or educational settings for a minimum of 4 years within the last 6 years.
- Graduate of SFDB designated course or ability to pass the first time.
Compensation & Work Environment
- Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000, dependent on experience.
- Environment: No Remote/off-site locations authorized. All work must be supported within Government facility.
