Job Summary
This position manages the financial aspects of projects, ensuring accurate tracking of costs, budgets, and financial reporting. Furthermore, this position monitors project progress, investigates variances, and ensures compliance with financial regulations.
Major Responsibilities and Essential Functions

- Review, examine, and approve project-related invoices for payment, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Call clients following up on payments, ensuring financial accuracy, and timely collections of projects.
- Negotiate and resolve payment-related issues to expedite the collection process.
- Maintain project-related financial records, including invoices, expenses, and revenue, and prepare regular financial reports for management.
- Accurately communicate financial information to project managers, stakeholders, and senior management.
- Monitor project cost, identify potential cost overruns, and implement cost control measures.
- Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses, and identifying and budget variances.
- Analyze project performance, identifying potential risks and opportunities, and providing recommendations for financial optimization.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Develop financial forecasts for projects, including revenue projections and expense forecasts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of accounting job-related experience.
- Previous experience in a project-based environment.
- General understanding of US GAAP.
- Knowledge of accounting or database software.
- Ability to interpret and critically evaluate financial reporting data for accuracy.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and accuracy.
- High level of conscientiousness and problem-solving.
- Ability to work alone and collaborate with groups.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat.
Working Conditions
This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment, including but not limited to computers, office copiers, printers, and phone systems.
