Job Details:
\n
• Work 3x12 hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
\n• Patient ratio of 1:5
\n• Weekend requirement: Either every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
\n• EPIC charting experience required
\n• 32 hours of orientation
\n• Floating required within skillset to other PCU or medical-surgical level of care units
\n• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
\n• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
\n• Must have chronic ventilator experience
\n• Care for adult and geriatric patients on Hospitalist service with pulmonary and other medicine-related conditions
\n• Unit can accommodate up to two ventilated patients (chronic trach patients, not ICU level)
\n• Skills include cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, central/peripheral line care
\n• Administer cardiac drips including Cardizem, Heparin, Insulin, low dose dopamine and dobutamine, Amiodarone, Nitro, Bumex, Lasix (no titration)
\n• Provide respiratory support using nasal cannula, oxygen administration, and non-invasive airway management
\n• Participate in Rapid Response and Code teams
\n• Maintain isolation precautions
\n• Work at least 1 holiday per 13-week assignment (2 holidays during winter season)
\n• First-time travelers accepted
\n• Must submit all requested time off with initial submission
