Job DescriptionRECEIVING CLERK Train on A shift6:00 am – 6:00 pm, mandatory overtime as needed.After training move to C shift6:00 pm – 6:00 am$14.00 per hourESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Receive raw materials and supplies from carriers; inspect for quantity and quality.
- Load/unload trucks and deliver materials to designated production areas.
- Operate forklifts and other handling equipment for moving and storing materials.
- Use inventory system to track stock levels, generate receiving tickets, and locate materials.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in receiving areas, back dock, and bulk handling house.
- Perform monthly physical inventory of raw materials.
- Unload railcars and bulk containers of compound and grease.
- Collaborate with Testing, Accounting, Purchasing, Engineering, QC, and Production teams.
- Handle rejected material documentation and prepare outbound shipments and tapes for vendors.
- Support all production departments (jacket lines, wire lines, cabling, etc.) with materials.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 6-week adaptation period expected to meet performance standards.
- Proficient in reading fractions, decimals, and basic math.
- Ability to use micrometers, scales, tape measures (to 1/10,000 inch), and other measuring tools.
- Forklift operation experience required; must pass internal certification.
- Ability to recognize various raw materials and compounds by number or appearance.
- Strong initiative and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good physical condition; must lift heavy items and work in varying weather conditions.
- Awareness of safety hazards (slips, falls, burns); safety-conscious behavior is essential.
- Must maintain color perception and physical stamina for extended periods.
