Connect Staffing is hiring a Quality Engineer – Solar Inverter Repair for a solar and power electronics repair center in Houston, TX. In this role, you will conduct failure and root cause analyses of solar inverters and power electronic equipment, develop quality inspection procedures, and analyze repair data to drive continuous improvement.
Pay:$30–$45/hr
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Location: Houston, TX
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

Work Environment: Manufacturing Plant / Factory
Responsibilities
- You will conduct failure and root cause analyses of returned and repaired solar inverters and power electronics to identify systemic quality issues. You'll also:
- Review repair processes and inspection results to verify alignment with engineering specifications and quality standards
- Develop, maintain, and improve quality inspection procedures, test plans, and acceptance criteria
- Use test and measurement equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and insulation testers, to validate repair quality
- Collaborate with engineering, service, manufacturing, and training teams to improve product reliability and repair effectiveness
- Support corrective and preventive actions and verify their effectiveness through data analysis and testing
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Quality Engineering, or a related technical field
- Hands-on experience with test and measurement equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and insulation testers
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and Mandarin
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with power electronics, solar inverters, or electrical equipment repair and testing
- Familiarity with quality tools and methodologies such as root cause analysis, Pareto analysis, 5 Whys, or FMEA
- Experience analyzing technical data and translating findings into actionable process improvements
- Proficiency with data analysis tools and quality documentation systems
- Background in reliability engineering, product testing, or manufacturing quality assurance
- Preferred prior job titles: Quality Engineer, Quality Assurance Engineer, Reliability Engineer, Test Engineer, Failure Analysis Engineer, QA Engineer, Product Quality Engineer, Quality Technician, Electronics Quality Engineer, Manufacturing Quality Engineer
