Quality Control Specialist – E-Commerce Fulfillment
Job Description
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Quality Control Specialist to join our fulfillment team. This role is critical in ensuring that every order leaving our facility meets the highest standards of accuracy and presentation.
The Quality Control Specialist will perform final inspections on outgoing packages before sealing, ensuring proper product fit, correct documentation, and overall quality. This position requires standing for long periods of time, working in an industrial setting, and assisting with packing boxes when needed.
The right candidate will be methodical, precise, and proactive in spotting errors that could lead to customer returns. Performance will directly impact a bonus program tied to reducing return rates.
Responsibilities

Perform final quality checks on outgoing packages before sealing.

Verify product accuracy, order details, and packaging integrity.

Work closely with the Customer Service Manager and customer support team to address quality issues.

Communicate with customers when needed via phone and email.

Use shipping and e-commerce platforms: ShipStation, Shopify, Richpanel.

Maintain quality records and assist with reporting using Excel and Word.

Assist with packing and labeling boxes as required.

Identify recurring issues and collaborate with management to improve processes.
Qualifications

Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.

Ability to stand for long periods in a warehouse/industrial environment.

Basic computer proficiency (Excel, Word, email).

Strong written and verbal communication skills (email and phone).

Prior experience with ShipStation, Shopify, Richpanel (preferred but not required).

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Quality control or fulfillment background preferred.
Compensation

Base Salary: $42,000 annually

Performance Bonus Program: Up to $20,000 annually (based on reducing product return rates)
