Pallet Builder - 2nd Shift - $21 /hr - Weekly Pay!

Job DescriptionCommercial Employees is hiring Pallet Builder positions for a leading manufacturer and distributor of steel coils and other related metal products in McKees Rocks. Starting pay of $21 per hour, that is paid weekly and benefits including health, vision, dental and life insurance. These positions are for 2nd shift: 2:30pm - 11pm; no OT on Fridays!
Pallet Builder Responsibilities:

• Build skids and proactively locate skids outside before each job begins to ensure optimal production flow.
• Measure materials for assembly.
• Shape or cut materials to specified measurements.
• Use hand and power tools while following safety protocols.
• Complete paperwork & put material away in a location & ensure that it’s correct.
• Utilize software to maintain pallet inventory, to include real-time updates.
• Track and maintain waste, broken pallets, and identify ways to repurpose.
• Regularly clean and tidy work. This includes removing debris, organizing tools, and ensuring that the workspace is ready for the next task.
• Monitor supplies and inform the supervisor when inventory is running low.
• Notify the supervisor of any repair needs; it is best to submit a work order for tracking purposes.
• As a small company, additional duties may be assigned to ensure the plant is operating efficiently.

Pallet Builder Qualifications

• Drivers License or other reliable transportation required as shifts often end after bus hours
• Strong physical stamina and the capacity to stand for extended periods
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment
• Safety is a high priority. Employees must wear appropriate PPE at all times and comply with Lane Steel and OSHA safety processes and procedures
