We are one of the top CPA firms in the El Paso, Texas/Juarez, Mexico area. We provide clients with value-added business advising services, going above and beyond what you would anticipate from a standard CPA. The company offers assurance, tax, and consulting services to a broad spectrum of clients, including Fortune 1000 multinational enterprises, governmental and non-profit organizations, and both established and emerging middle market clients.
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Tax Staff to join our dynamic tax team. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation and review of various tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal and state tax regulations. This role provides an excellent opportunity for professional growth and the chance to work closely with clients in different sectors, including individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and file individual, partnership, S corporation, and C corporation tax returns.
- Assist in the tax compliance process and ensure adherence to regulations.
- Conduct tax research and analysis to support various tax positions.
- Prepare fiduciary tax returns and assist with tax planning strategies.
- Collaborate with senior staff on tax audits and reviews.
- Utilize QuickBooks and other tax software for efficient tax preparation and accounting tasks.
- Support clients in not-for-profit organizations with their unique tax compliance needs.
- Stay updated on tax law changes and their impact on clients' tax situations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or EA certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience with tax preparation, compliance, and planning is a plus.
- Familiarity with individual and corporate tax types, including Fiduciary and International tax preferred.
- Proficient in relevant tax software.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
