Join our dynamic team as a General Production Worker where you will engage in sorting, lifting, catching, and packaging tiles while ensuring quality control. You will be responsible for stacking tiles from a pallet onto a conveyor, maintaining cleanliness when the line is not running, and performing various tasks such as sweeping and spraying lines down with a hose. This role involves preparing and mixing raw materials for ceramic tiles and glazes, operating production machinery, and performing basic assembly tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Sort, lift, catch, and package tiles with a focus on quality control.
- Stack tiles onto a conveyor from a pallet.
- Maintain cleanliness by sweeping and spraying lines with a hose.
- Prepare and mix raw materials for ceramic tile and glazes.
- Operate production machinery and perform basic assembly tasks.
- Conduct quality inspections and ensure standards are met.
- Engage in repetitive movements such as twisting, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
- Regularly lift and move objects up to 50 pounds during shifts.
Essential Skills
- Prior experience in manufacturing, general production, or general labor.
- Strong attention to detail and an interest in advancing to operator roles.
- Ability to solve practical problems using logic and work independently under general supervision.
- Comfortable working in an industrial environment with large machinery and equipment.
- Demonstrated reliability and exceptional attendance record.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in an old industrial environment.
- Comfortable getting dirty when necessary.
- Ability to count and handle repetitive tasks such as counting stacks of tiles.

Work Environment
This position is located in a ceramic and glass tile manufacturing facility. The building may appear intimidating from the outside, with large, dusty industrial equipment and some dark areas. The work environment is very dirty, with potential exposure to dirt, glaze, and water. Face masks are required in certain areas due to silica dust, and respirator fittings will be conducted. Working around kilns means the environment can get very hot, so preparedness for these conditions is essential.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spokane Valley, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
