Doctoral degree in Audiology (Au.D.), active Audiolist license and 1+ years Audiologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school-based audiology position is available to provide specialized services within a Texas school district. This contract role primarily supports Mission Academy, with additional responsibilities covering districtwide students in coordination with itinerant teachers. The role is part-time with approximately 15-20 hours per week, ideally scheduled on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and spans until late May 2026.
Location: San Antonio, TX Area (on-site)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct audiological evaluations and screenings for students across various age groups.
- Fit and repair hearing aids as authorized by state licensure.
- Collaborate with educational staff and itinerant teachers to troubleshoot and support students hearing health on an itinerant basis.
- Maintain compliance with state regulations and professional standards.
- Complete all required documentation and reporting related to student care.
- Attend prescreen interviews as part of the credentialing process.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Audiology required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in school settings or equivalent.
- ASHA certification mandatory; waiver accepted if ASHA certification is held.
- State licensure to practice audiology and to fit and repair hearing aids.
- Successful passage of relevant licensing exams.
- Must complete fingerprinting and background check in compliance with credentialing requirements.
