Position: Powder Coating Technician
Location: Tulsa, OK
Pay: $20/hour
Type: Full-time; Contract
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00am to 4:30pm
ProRecruiters is seeking a Powder Coating Technician to join a growing and dynamic team!
Job Description:
- Prepare parts for coating by cleaning, sanding, masking, and/or blasting surfaces
- Apply powder coating using electrostatic spray equipment
- Ensure even coating coverage and proper thickness according to specifications
- Operate curing ovens and monitor temperature and cycle times
- Inspect finished parts for defects, consistency, and overall quality
- Perform touch-ups or rework as needed
- Maintain and clean powder coating equipment and work areas
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE
- Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and coating requirements
- Assist with hanging, racking, and moving parts through the coating process
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in powder coating, painting, or industrial finishing preferred
- Familiarity with spray equipment and coating techniques
- Basic understanding of surface preparation and finishing processes
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
