Join our dynamic team at Laboratory Testing Inc. as a 2nd Shift Machine Shop Milling Technician. This is a 2nd shift role working at our facility in Hatfield, PA Monday through Friday, from 2:30pm to 11pm.
As a Machine Shop Milling Technician, you'll perform precision CNC milling operations on customer-provided materials, ensuring top-notch quality and adherence to specifications. A Day in the Life of a Machine Shop Milling Technician
- Performs all types of milling operations as assigned by the Machine Shop Supervisor. This includes setting up for long and short runs of parts.
- Squares up and machines specimens out of odd, shaped configurations to LTI procedures.
- Operates multiple machines during a normal workday.
- Follows all applicable and required specifications and procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance to machining requirements.
- Maintains traceability of materials and parts during operations.
- Ensures that the shop equipment and instruments are functioning properly and in calibration prior to performing any work. Informs the supervisor whenever any equipment is found to be out of calibration or in need of repair.
- Troubleshoots problems and takes corrective action, as necessary and appropriate and within guidelines as established by the supervisor or manager.
- Monitors scheduled completion dates and times to ensure that established schedules are met. The supervisor must be notified sufficiently in advance whenever the schedule for a job might not be met.
- Inputs required data into computer software accurately and on a timely basis.
- Assists with maintaining shop equipment. This includes cleaning the equipment, performing preventive maintenance as scheduled, and performing repair maintenance as required.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Maintains assigned work area(s) in a clean, organized, and safe condition at all times.
- Understands and complies with LTI’s QA Program at all times.
- Seeks clarification when specifications or directions are unclear.
- Assists with the disposal of scrap metals from within the department.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures at all times.
- Follows all safety rules and regulations at all times and utilizes personal protective equipment, as required.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the Machine Shop Supervisor or the Machine Shop Manager.
This position requires use of information or access to processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export laws including but not limited to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). In accordance with ITAR, to be qualified to work in this facility, applicants must be a US Person, which is defined as a US National, US Permanent Resident, and certain categories of Asylees and Refugees.
