Position Overview:The Phlebotomist (Traveler) serves as a Patient Services Representative and is the face of the organization to patients seeking routine care or diagnostic insights. This role is responsible for collecting high-quality blood specimens, preparing samples for laboratory testing, and ensuring all procedures are performed with accuracy, confidentiality, and patient-centered care.The Phlebotomist creates an atmosphere of trust while explaining procedures clearly and performing venipuncture in a safe, skillful, and professional manner. Assignments may include physician offices, patient service centers, or other locations based on business needs.Key Responsibilities:
- Perform clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing following established procedures.
- Draw quality blood samples and prepare specimens for laboratory testing.
- Verify patient demographic information and obtain patient signature post-venipuncture to confirm correct labeling.
- Maintain required records and documentation with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
- Promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
- Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
- Maintain a safe, professional, and compliant work environment.
- Demonstrate leadership behaviors, organizational commitment, and process excellence.
Required Qualifications:
- 2–3 years of phlebotomy experience
- Strong pediatric and geriatric phlebotomy skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision
- Ability to provide error-free work in a fast-paced environment
- Must follow all company policies including dress code, employee health & safety, and quality standards
- Ability to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise sound judgment
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume setting
Additional Requirements:
- Reliable personal transportation required
- Bus, Uber, and rideshare services are not considered reliable transportation
- Must be punctual, work all scheduled shifts, and remain for the entire shift
- Excessive absenteeism or tardiness may result in termination
- Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime
- Ability to work across multiple locations with minimal notice
- Training locations may vary based on trainer availability

- Hospital site assignment: Additional credentialing required
