Senior Mechanical Engineer, PE

The Opportunity
Seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer, PE to join their Nashville office in an onsite role. This is a technical, hands-on position focused on evaluating, designing, and improving complex mechanical systems for large-scale facilities and multi-building campuses.
This role is ideal for an experienced Mechanical PE who enjoys solving infrastructure challenges, working closely with clients, and being deeply involved in project execution rather than managing from a distance.
Key Responsibilities
- Mechanical system assessments for large facilities and campuses
- HVAC and plumbing system design and evaluation
- Central chilled water and steam plant systems
- Energy analysis and system optimization
- DDC / automatic temperature control systems
- Fire protection and medical gas systems
- High-pressure / high-temperature process piping
- Hazardous gas and liquid systems
- Systems commissioning support
- Master planning support for institutional and industrial campuses
- Client meetings, site visits, and technical reporting
- Coordination with electrical engineers and other disciplines
- Mentorship of junior engineers and designers
Required Qualifications
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- 8+ years of consulting engineering experience
- Strong HVAC and plumbing background for large facilities
- Experience with industrial, institutional, or campus environments
- Comfortable in a fully onsite engineering role
- Strong client-facing and communication skills
