Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring a travel CT Technologist for a night shift position in a hospital-based CT Scan department, requiring ARRT (CT) certification and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Hospital-based CT Scan department with 18 beds and a multidisciplinary radiology team including radiologists, ultrasound techs, MRI techs, and CT techs
  • Night shift team typically consists of 3–4 techs, with staffing varying based on patient volume
  • Patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 depending on patient stability
  • Procedures include CT scans, MRI, X-rays, and body scanning to produce diagnostic images of bones, organs, and tissues
  • All GE equipment in use, including MRI units, scanners, cameras, X-ray, and fluoroscopy
  • EMR system is Meditech; experience strongly preferred
  • Thursday through Saturday night shifts, 6:30 PM – 6:00 AM (3x12-hour nights)
  • 13-week contract
  • Produce diagnostic imaging by performing CT scans, X-rays, and body scans; combine imaging results to create accurate picture assessments for radiologist review
  • Strong communication, medical/anatomical knowledge, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to multitask across a variety of physicians, radiologists, and patients is expected
  • The department recently added a new $1.2 million state-of-the-art computed tomography scanner
  • Facility is a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center and recipient of the American Heart Gold Plus Achievement Award
  • Navy blue scrubs required
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be considered

\n \n Requirements\n

  • Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience, with active experience within the last 6 months
  • ARRT (CT) and BLS required
  • GE equipment experience strongly preferred
  • Meditech EMR experience strongly preferred
  • RT(T) and ASRT membership preferred; FASRT designation a plus
  • SSN and DOB required for consideration — no Canadian SSNs accepted
  • Two professional references required (Florida state requirement)
  • License required if applicable
  • No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
