Comprehensive Medicine is excited to offer a unique and dynamic opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing team!
We are a well-established, independent Internal Medicine practice committed to continuity of care across multiple settings. Based in Alpine, CA—just 15 minutes east of El Cajon—we provide Primary Care, Urgent Care, and Mobile House Call services throughout San Diego County.
Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, versatile, and skilled provider to join our team in a hybrid clinical role. Responsibilities will be tailored based on your experience and interests and may include:
Primary & Urgent Care (Alpine Office)

Provide in-office care for scheduled primary care visits and walk-in urgent care cases.

Utilize on-site X-ray, IV therapy, POC labs, and perform procedures such as suturing and wound care.

Apply strong clinical judgment and work collaboratively with a supportive medical team.
Mobile House Calls

Serve as a primary care provider to patients in assisted living facilities, retirement communities, and private homes across San Diego.

Coordinate with in-home diagnostics providers (labs, imaging, EKGs).

Collaborate with facility staff, home health, and hospice teams to ensure seamless, high-quality care.
This role provides significant autonomy while maintaining strong support from experienced physicians, mid-levels, and clinical staff.

What We’re Looking For
-
Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in California.

Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-first mindset.

Confidence in primary and urgent care procedures (suturing, IV therapy, wound care, etc.).

Excellent clinical judgment and attention to documentation (Athena EMR experience a plus).

Team-oriented approach and commitment to high-quality care.

6 paid holidays and 80 hours PTO in year one (increasing to 120 hours after one year)
