We are looking for an Accounts Payable & Payroll Specialist to join a growing media company in Washington, District of Columbia. You will play a vital role in managing both accounts payable and payroll processes while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Responsibilities:
• Process high-volume vendor invoices, including matching, batching, and coding.
• Set up new vendor profiles in the company’s accounting system.
• Manage bi-weekly payroll processing for employees across multiple states.
• Reconcile payroll accounts and generate detailed reports as required.
• Prepare and distribute 1099 forms for subcontractors.
• Handle credit card transaction reconciliations and post related entries.
• Maintain vendor records in compliance with company policies.
• Assist the Controller with ad hoc accounting tasks and projects.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in accounts payable invoice processing.
• Minimum of 3 years handling employee payroll, preferably in a multistate environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data entry systems.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with team members and vendors.
• Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll platforms.
• Demonstrated stable work history reflecting reliability and professionalism.
