Responsibilities:
- Process incoming payments, including receiving checks and applying tenant payments in the system.
- Act as the point of contact for tenants regarding rent payment status and inquiries.
- Reconcile credit card transactions and assist with resolving discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records.
- Coordinate with and support employees.
- Establish and maintain good relations with tenants.
- Maintain and update resident files.
- Communicate with management, residents, vendors, and all outside contacts in a courteous and professional manner.
- Working knowledge of Adobe and Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to learn property management software (training provided).
- Communicate, verbally and written, with tenants, clients, and others.
- Ability to scan, make, fill in, and amend PDF forms.
- Grab mail at the post office.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with tenants, supervisors, and vendors.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Strong customer service skills, demonstrating empathy, patience, and professionalism when interacting with tenants.
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with email communication, data entry, and record-keeping.
- Previous experience in a similar administrative or customer service role is preferred but not mandatory
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a major plus; not required.
- Experience in property management is a plus.
We are located in Suffern, NY. You must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (Required).
