Oja Spa Manager — James Island, Charleston, SC
Oja is an upscale health and wellness spa launching end of summer, currently in our startup phase. We're looking for a heart-centered, self-motivated leader who's excited to help build our culture from the ground up. This role reports directly to ownership.
You will be working directly with the founder(s).
What You'll Do:
- Oversee day-to-day client experience and operations
- Create and maintain in-house marketing, including social media management across all platforms
- Drive membership and drop-in client acquisition and retention
- Understand and clearly convey our therapy offerings (HBOT, Red Light Therapy, and other modalities) to clients, guiding them through their experience with care and expertise
- Train staff to deliver that same level of client knowledge and detail
- Manage staff scheduling, hiring, and retention
- Handle retail and merchandising for our boutique offerings
- Track financials and reporting
- Oversee cleaning and general upkeep of the spa
- Organization: personal (self & others) & object (back of house)
What You Bring:
- Minimum 5 years of management experience
- Retail and merchandising experience
- Strong scheduling and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Excel; QuickBooks experience a plus
- Spa or wellness industry background preferred
- Must reside within a 30-minute drive of James Island (Charleston County only)
Compensation:
- $55,000 annually
- Quarterly bonuses based on membership growth (attainable, realistic targets)
Start Date:
Must be able to start by August 1st.
