Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years OR RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Take your expertise in perioperative care to the next level by delivering top-quality nursing in a fast-paced surgical environment. This opportunity calls for a dedicated professional with strong skills in the Operating Room, including CVOR and general OR experience, who is comfortable adapting to both patient needs and surgical team dynamics.
Schedule:
- Two 8-hour shifts and two 12-hour shifts per week
- One 12-hour weekend shift every 5–6 weeks
- 8-hour weekend call every two months
- Flexible shift selection available
- Start times: 6:50 am–3:20 pm and 6:50 am–7:20 pm
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted RN license
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum of one year previous experience in Operating Room nursing (including CVOR)
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with surgical teams and maintain optimal patient safety
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and effective in urgent or emergent situations
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care throughout the perioperative process, ensuring safety and comfort
- Assist the surgical team during cardiovascular and general surgical procedures
- Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
- Document and communicate information regarding patient status
- Participate in patient and family education related to perioperative care
- Take part in on-call responsibilities as scheduled
