Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An immediate opening is available for a Special Education Teacher at an elementary school in Burnsville, MN, serving students from kindergarten through 2nd grade. This contract position runs through June 5, 2026, and offers a full-time schedule with consistent hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and support for a caseload of 15-20 students with a range of disabilities.
• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each students unique needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to foster an inclusive learning environment.
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to meet educational goals.
• Maintain thorough documentation and participate in team meetings.

Qualifications:

• Valid Tier 3 or Tier 4 teaching license.
• Endorsement for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) on teaching license is required.
• Experience working with students across all disability areas within a school setting.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload effectively and adapt instructional methods to meet diverse learner needs.

Schedule & Location:

• Position based in a single elementary school building.
• Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
• 37.5 hours per week.
