Shift 2: 02:00PM - 10:00PM Monday - Friday
Shift 3: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM Sunday - Thursday
We are seeking an Operations Technologist to autonomously set up equipment, execute sanitation, and support pilot/plant trials across multiple platforms with a focus on cereal operations. This role requires strong equipment operation, food safety compliance, and technical troubleshooting skills while supporting cross-functional teams. You will operate in a dynamic manufacturing environment, ensuring efficient system performance, high-quality output, and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Responsibilities:
- Operate and set up processing equipment with focus on equipment efficiency and process optimization
- Lead and execute equipment sanitation and perform post-clean inspections
- Ensure compliance with food safety, human safety, and conduct risk assessments
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control systems issues
- Train and coach team members on unit operations and system usage
- Support multiple platforms and adapt to changing production needs
- Maintain documentation and utilize basic computer systems (MS Office)
- Handle materials and operate powered equipment (pallet jacks, lifts)
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Experience with processing equipment, pilot plant/plant operations, or similar environment
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and technical troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of GMP, food safety standards, and safety protocols
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and work in varying plant conditions
- Strong communication, team leadership, and training/coaching abilities
- Familiarity with mechanical systems, electrical controls, and sanitation processes
- Ability to work flexible shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed
Preferred:
- 1+ years of relevant experience
- Background in food manufacturing, laboratory operations, or CPG industry
