We have partnered with a leading industrial manufacturer in the Greater New Orleans area that is seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Representative to lead and strengthen its safety and environmental compliance programs.
This role is responsible for driving regulatory compliance, fostering a proactive safety culture, and ensuring environmental stewardship across manufacturing operations. The position offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package, as well as, long-term growth potential within a stable industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, LDEQ, Parish, Municipal).
- Manage environmental programs, including waste, air emissions, and wastewater reporting.
- Develop and enforce safety programs (LOTO, Powered Industrial Trucks, PPE, etc.).
- Conduct site audits, risk assessments, and safety inspections.
- Lead incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop and deliver safety training programs.
- Lead emergency response planning and drills.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
- 3+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
- ASP or CSP designation and FA/CPR/AED or EMT certifications are highly preferred
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations.
- Experience managing audits, reporting, and regulatory submissions.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
