Our in-house subacute rehab program is dedicated to delivering personalized, high-quality care to individuals recovering from illness, injury, or surgery. We pride ourselves on our patient-centered approach and strong interdisciplinary teamwork.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our in-house subacute rehab team. Under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the COTA will assist in implementing therapeutic programs designed to improve patients’ independence in daily living activities and enhance their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to patients as outlined in treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist (OT)

  • Assist in evaluating patient progress and communicate findings to the OT and rehab team

  • Instruct and supervise patients in therapeutic activities, including ADLs, mobility, and fine motor tasks

  • Document daily treatments, patient responses, and progress accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with facility and regulatory standards

  • Participate in care plan meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions

  • Maintain equipment and ensure a safe, clean, and supportive therapy environment

  • Adhere to facility policies, HIPAA regulations, and professional standards of practice

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

  • Current certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)

  • Licensed (or eligible for licensure) as a COTA in the state of Florida

  • Previous experience in a skilled nursing or subacute rehab setting preferred

  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
