The Opportunity:
The Weigher will handle and control raw material inventory in warehouse racks to execute and complete computerized batch records issued. Reviews Batch Records before starting the weighing process to make sure all the components are In order and ready to distribute the picking list to the material handlers for the retrieval of raw materials. Complies with general cGMP's, follows S.O.P's, and Master Batch Record Manufacturing Directions.
What You’ll Do:
- Visually inspect products on the production line and/or inspection room for defects, inconsistencies, or deviations from specifications.
- Assembles the final batch and checks all components before sending them to the next processing area.
- Pulls raw materials from storage warehouse when required. Review all data entries of the materials weighed making sure the right quantity, ingredient, item and lot number is being used as per master batch record specifications and counter signs each step of the weighing process.
- Coordinates with production manager the scheduling of the batches to be weighed.
- Maintains all process log book current make sure all steps of the manufacturing directions are followed as per the master batch record requirements.
- Make In process labels and stickers for all materials weighed.
- Weigh raw materials as per master batch record requirements when needed.
- Review the master batch record when finished weighing to make sure all entries are completed and signed before transferring batch record and materials to the next processing area.
- Review all pelletized material after weighing to make sure it is properly labeled, wrapped and staged for next processing step. - Help maintain, organize and clean the central weigh room and warehouse as needed.
What You’ll Bring:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Must be able to read, write and speak English.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ration, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Familiar with the metric system.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Must be able to stand for 10 hours and able to lift 50 lbs. Lifting raw material containers that fall within OSHA limitations is necessary.
- Other activities include material handling using forklifts, electric and manual pallet jacks. Interface as either a checker or weigher to satisfy double checks and balances required and must be able to set up digital scales and wear a dust respirator when needed.
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma/Certificate; or 1-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $19.00. - $21.00 The compensation offered may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and/or education.
