Pediatrician

Job Summary: Join Choptank Community Health’s dedicated team and work alongside our experienced support staff providing services to a very full and dynamic range of patients (newborn to 21 years old) and diagnoses. We are looking for a full-time board eligible/board certified Pediatrician for an established, busy pediatric practice in Denton, Maryland. No hospital duties are required (there is a local community hospital with pediatric hospitalists who cover the newborn nursery and our patients). The expectation is to see 2.6 patients per hour. About 25% of our patients are Hispanic and we have a full-time in-house interpreter.: We are 100% outpatient, offer flexible four- or five-day workweeks with no weekends, and have on-call by phone less than 10 days per quarter.

Serving our community for more than 40 years, CCHS provides care across Caroline, Dorchester, Talbot, Queen Anne’s, and Kent counties. We are close to beaches and the Chesapeake Bay with plenty of indoor and outdoor recreational activities nearby. Being centrally located, Washington DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia, and New York City are all close.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • General office environment in clinical health centers
  • Occasional travel
  • Frequent exposure to workplace conditions includes bending, climbing stairs, walking, kneeling, and reaching.
  • Includes fine and gross motor skills, lifting less than 20 pounds, and vision.
  • Occasional exposure to workplace conditions includes air borne pathogens, blood borne pathogens and cleaning agents.

Compensation and Schedule:

  • Full-time (36 hours patient care, 4 hours administrative)
  • Work Schedule: 4 to 5 days per week.
  • 8-to-9-hour shifts available
  • This is an exempt, full-time position in pay grade 12 with the pay range of $176,216.00 - $264,325.00.
  • The Pediatrician reports directly to the Chief Clinical Officer.
