A dynamic opportunity exists for a Pharmacist with hospital experience to support inpatient pharmacy operations across two locations in Colorado. This 13-week contract role offers a mix of clinical duties and leadership responsibilities within inpatient settings, requiring flexible coverage between Aurora and Denver.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently to ensure patient safety
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff to maintain workflow and compliance
- Perform pharmacokinetic assessments to optimize patient drug therapies
- Collaborate closely with physicians and nursing staff to provide clinical consultation and improve medication management
Schedule:
- Day shifts, typically 10-hour shifts on weekdays and 6-hour shifts on weekends
- Approximately 36 to 40 hours per week
- Schedule includes around three days per week in Aurora and one to two days per week in Denver, with assignments adaptable based on business needs
Qualifications:
- Current Colorado Pharmacist license required
- Minimum of three years hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster multidisciplinary collaboration
- Ability to adapt to varying workload and clinical demands across locations
