Opportunity Overview

Our organization is in search of a Board-Eligible or Board-Certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist to become part of a close-knit, community-oriented practice located in the picturesque Sierra Foothills of California.

This position is primarily focused on obstetrics, catering to a grateful and underserved patient demographic, including a significant gynecologic population in a rural area where healthcare professionals are genuinely appreciated. You will be practicing at a well-supported 53-bed rural hospital, recognized for its exceptional labor and delivery nursing team, high patient satisfaction, and a community that holds our organization in high regard.

• Low-acuity OB practice with an average of 20-25 deliveries per month

• Collaborative and supportive environment with experienced nursing staff

• Focus on senior care emphasizing continuity and relationship-based medicine

  • Robotic-assisted surgery capabilities

  • Opportunity to develop and enhance the GYN surgical program

• Minimal on-site subspecialty services (no NICU, MFM, or Urology), with strong referral connections to nearby tertiary care centers

• Excellent work/life balance with predictable patient volumes and call schedules

Teaching and Professional Growth

For those who are enthusiastic about education and mentorship, this role provides the opportunity to engage in graduate medical education, teaching:

• OB/GYN residents

• Family Medicine residents in a rural residency program

Contribute to shaping the future of healthcare while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Call Schedule (1:3 Ratio)

• Weekday Call: Tuesday-Thursday, two weeks each month (total of 6 days)

• Weekend Call: Friday-Monday, one weekend per month (total of 4 days)

Total: 10 call days per month

Physicians will also rotate 1-2 days monthly at a nearby medical center to maintain clinical skills and gain tertiary care exposure.
